Abstract

Community Service Program (KKN) is an implementation of the Tri Dharma of Higher Education that acts as a medium for community empowerment through the direct application of knowledge in the community environment. The implementation of KKN not only aims to help solve various problems faced by the community but also builds collaboration between universities, village governments, and communities in realizing participatory and sustainable development. This study aims to analyze the implementation of the Community Service Program based on community empowerment in Sentul Hamlet, Ngropoh Village, Kranggan District, Temanggung Regency, and identify the program's contribution to improving the quality of education, health, village governance, and the socio-religious life of the community. The study uses a qualitative approach with a descriptive research type. Data were collected through observation, interviews or discussions, and documentation, then analyzed using the interactive analysis model of Miles, Huberman, and Saldaña, which includes data collection, data condensation, data presentation, and drawing conclusions. Data validity was obtained through source triangulation and technique triangulation. The results of the study indicate that the implementation of the Community Service Program (KKN) was able to provide a positive contribution to community empowerment through improving the quality of formal and non-formal education, strengthening religious education, increasing public health awareness through Posyandu activities and stunting prevention socialization, strengthening the capacity of administrative services and digitalization of village government, and increasing community participation in various social and religious activities. The success of the program was supported by high community participation, a culture of mutual cooperation, and synergy between students, village government, and the community, although obstacles were still encountered in the form of limited human resources, budget, weather conditions, and the suboptimal use of information technology. This study confirms that a participatory-based community empowerment approach integrated with KKN activities can be an effective strategy in supporting inclusive, collaborative, and sustainable village development. The research findings are expected to serve as a reference for universities and village governments in developing community service models that are more adaptive to the needs of local communities.
