Community Engagement Chronicle upholds rigorous peer review standards while continuously improving the efficiency of the review process.

All research articles published in the journal undergo a full peer review process with the following key characteristics:

  • All manuscripts are reviewed by at least two qualified experts in the relevant field
  • Publication decisions are made by the Editor-in-Chief based on reviewers’ evaluations
  • Members of the international Editorial Board provide insight, advice, and support in editorial decision-making
  • Managing Editors and Editorial Assistants ensure administrative efficiency while maintaining the integrity of the double-blind review process
  • The journal benefits from manuscript referrals supported by high-quality peer review from established journals
  • The overall process, including peer review, editing, copyediting, and proofreading, typically takes 6–8 months

Peer Review of Referred Papers
For manuscripts referred from other journals, the Editors will promptly decide whether to accept, reject, or request revisions based on the existing reviews and editorial evaluation. Additional reviews may be conducted if necessary, and authors will be informed if further evaluation is required.

Peer Review of New Submissions
Manuscripts submitted directly to Community Engagement Chronicle are reviewed by at least two qualified reviewers selected by the Editor-in-Chief. Based on the reviewers’ comments, the Editor-in-Chief or an assigned Editorial Board member will decide whether the manuscript is accepted, rejected, or requires revision.

Editors assess whether each submission presents well-conducted research with conclusions that are clearly supported by the data. While novelty and contribution to the field are important, editorial decisions are not based solely on priority but on the quality and validity of the research.
