Author Guidelines
General Organization of the Paper
Community Engagement Chronicle is an open-access journal that applies a double-blind peer review process for all submitted manuscripts. This means that both the identities of authors and reviewers are concealed throughout the review process.
Manuscript Format
Title
The title should follow the manuscript template (2021 version) with the following format: Times New Roman, 16 pt, bold, capitalize each word, and center alignment.
Example:
Development of Science Learning Media

Font: Times New Roman, 10 pt, bold, capitalize each word, center alignment
Affiliations
Affiliations should include the department, faculty, university, city, postal code, and country.

Changes to Authorship
This policy regulates the addition, removal, or rearrangement of author names in accepted manuscripts.
Before publication in an online issue, any request to add, remove, or rearrange authors must be submitted by the corresponding author to the Journal Manager and must include:
(a) the reason for the change, and
(b) written confirmation (email, fax, or letter) from all authors agreeing to the change, including the author being added or removed.
The Journal Manager will inform the Journal Editors of such requests, and publication will be suspended until authorship has been fully agreed upon.
After publication, any request for authorship changes will follow the same procedure and will be published as a corrigendum.
Abstract
The abstract must be written in one paragraph using Times New Roman, 10 pt, italic, and justified alignment. It should consist of 100–200 words and be followed by 3–7 keywords.
The abstract should stand alone and clearly present the background, objectives, methods, main results, and conclusions of the study. It should be informative and self-explanatory, allowing readers to quickly understand the content and relevance of the article. References and uncommon abbreviations should be avoided; if necessary, abbreviations must be defined at first mention.
Keywords: 3–7 words or phrases
Introduction
(Font: Times New Roman, 10 pt, bold, capital letters)
This section should state the objectives of the study and provide sufficient background without an extensive literature review. Clearly identify the research gap and highlight the significance of the study.
All submissions will receive a confirmation email within two weeks. If no confirmation is received, authors should contact the editorial office. The journal uses a double-blind review system, and manuscripts are reviewed by at least two experts. The review process typically takes 1–2 months, and decisions are communicated via email.
Manuscripts should be organized in the following order: Title, Authors, Affiliations, Abstract, Keywords, Introduction, Research Method, Results and Discussion, Conclusion, Acknowledgments, and References.
The submitted document (MS Word or PDF) should include:
a. Full manuscript text (Title to References, including tables and figures)
b. Figure and table captions
c. Figures (one per page)
d. Tables (one per page)
Body Text
Font: Times New Roman, 10 pt, single spacing
Research Method
(Font: Times New Roman, 10 pt, bold, capital letters)
This section explains the research design, methods, procedures, and techniques used to collect and analyze data. It should provide enough detail to allow readers to evaluate the validity and reliability of the study.
Results and Discussion
(Font: Times New Roman, 10 pt, bold, capital letters)
This section presents the research findings and provides a critical interpretation of the results. The discussion should explain the significance of the findings, relate them to previous studies, and demonstrate how the study advances understanding of the research problem.
Tables and figures may be included to support the data. Table captions should be placed above the table, while figure captions should be placed below the figure, both with sequential numbering. Each page should contain only one table or figure, with a maximum size of two-thirds of the page.
Tables
Tables should be numbered sequentially, with titles placed above the table. Tables must be centered and use single spacing. Table headings should be in 10 pt bold. Only horizontal lines should be used; vertical lines are not allowed. Tables should be referenced in the text (e.g., Table 1).
Figures
Figures should be numbered sequentially, with titles placed below the figure. Figures must be clear and legible. Both black-and-white and color figures are acceptable. If a figure spans two columns, it should be placed at the top or bottom of the page.
Accepted formats include BMP, WMF, EPS, Microsoft Graph, and Microsoft Draw.
Conclusion
(Font: Times New Roman, 10 pt, bold, capital letters)
The conclusion should summarize the main findings and demonstrate their alignment with the research objectives. It may also include recommendations and directions for future research.
Acknowledgments
This section should acknowledge individuals or institutions that provided support for the research.
Example:
The authors would like to thank … for their support and contribution to this research.
References
References should primarily consist of recent and relevant international journals and proceedings. The minimum number of references is 25 for research articles and 50 for review articles.
All references must follow the IEEE citation style. Authors are encouraged to use reference management tools such as EndNote, Mendeley, or Zotero and ensure consistent formatting using Times New Roman, 10 pt.
